Also, keep in mind that there is a good part of Shego. And as long as that good part can apply to her common sense, I don't think she'll seriously harm Kim.

It's interesting that both you and buckmana see Shego as holding back. I tend to agree as long as we are talking about season 4. At that point I think Shego has grown to enjoy the challenge of Kim.
However there are several instances in seasons 1-3 where both are trying to seriously hurt the other and in the case of Shego one could argue she is trying to kill Kim. Bueno Nacho, True Hurts and So the Drama come to mid as examples of this without really thinking on it.

I view So the Drama as the one where Kim tries to kill Shego. I mean, kicking her into a tower isn't exactly the kindest things. Bueno Nacho and Truth Hurts do show her being more aggressive than her in season 4, but I hold onto my belief that Shego is holding back. Maybe some of the Attitudinator hadn't worn off in season 4?

Possible I suppose. I'm guessing it has more to do with the mutual respect of opponents and that Shego knows that if she wants to improve her self she needs to compete against an opponent that is at or above her level. Kim strikes me as very close to Shego in ability, only lacking in years of experience.
My best example of this would be the several times in season 4 that Shego expressly states that the honor of destroying Kim goes to her, not anyone else.

I agree with you; Shego definetely shows respect towards Kim. The Warmonga/Kim fight has been interpreted in many ways; even as a Kigo scene. It would be a shame if, after all that time, Shego wasn't the one to defeat her. But I think what really set her off was Drakken's comment about how Warmonga was about to do the thing she couldn't do, defeat Kim Possible. From my viewpoint of Shego holding back, that could hurt because she could defeat Kim but never has, but Drakken thinks her incapable of it.
Kim is similar in ability to Shego, but Shego hides her physical abilities behind her powers most of the time, blasting at Kim instead of actually fighting her. This becomes more obvious as the series goes on. Kim is not as muscular as Shego and, as you pointed out, not as experienced. Their personalities are something to consider as well; though similar, they have some obvious differences that could influence their fighting styles.
I personally think that Shego views it as a game; her laid back personality and the taunting are proof. If Shego were to defeat Kim, the game would end.

Shego definitly enjoys being evil. And I really don't like the soft Shego in many fics, Shego turns good and Drakken stays evil, like Shego never wanted to be evil she doesn't have a good reason like Drakken to be evil. Shego saving Kim in MDAA was definitely about her and Drakken, because if Warmonga would have killed Kim, Drakken wouldn't need Shego anymore. On the other hand if she is the one to do it she would be irreplaceable for him.

It almost seems as if Shego was drivin crazy by her brothers so she wanted to leave home, and maybe working for Drakken was the only option that popped up at the time.Shego obviously learned to enjoy being evil! As you all said, she did seem as if she was seriously trying to hurt Kim in several episodes and some of Drakken's plots and inventions seem quite dangerous! However,I just can't consider Shego and Drakken particularly life threatening to Kim,because of their attitudes and personalities. There is absolutely no doubt that Shego has done some harmful things and does enjoy being evil and such, but she also has a heart, and a good one at that.In my personal opinion,Shego has never wanted to kill Kim,and if her actions ever suggested it,she was just having anger-managemet problems(which does appear evident at some times). In conclusion,I must say that Shego views evil as somewhat of a game, and does enjoy being evil, just like you all said.
